Wave Action Pictures in Mustique

These pictures are really for our families. Click on them to view them in a bigger format. Grandparents, enjoy the grandkids having a blast...

3 Nights in Mustique

Points of interest + 100 villas
Mustique is a private island run by Mustique Company with only 120 development plots and shareholders to preserve the island’s character, retain exclusivity, and prevent over-development.  Plots were bought by socialites, rock stars (Mick Jagger), designers, and artists and private individuals and attract royalty. To visit, we rented a mule and went around the island on the road and off-road.  A different atmosphere for sure.

Waiting for the mule to take us around the island...
Here it is...

Sayan taking us to Macaroni Beach on the windward side of the island.

Happy Birthday to Avi !

In Mustique, Kehan and his aunt, Devyani Buasa, decorated the boat for a surprise birthday party for Avi - while we were on shore dealing with administrative check-in.

For the birthday dinner: Avi's favorite chicken curry and chocolate cake (everyone's favorite!).

Bequia - Admiralty Bay

In Bequia from Feb 10 to 13, we enjoyed the beach, the colorful town, the little museum, had our outboard engine repaired for the 2nd time (it stalls underway), spliced a new bridle for our anchor, and refilled our fresh water tank thanks to this convenient boat that comes along your yacht - as opposed to you tying up at a dock.

The mobile service station

Sloooowly but surely filling up the water tanks.
Our dinghy captain

Kerry, descendant of the North American whalers, helps us sort out ongoing outboard issues.  His uncle is actually featured in the museum as the last full time traditional whaler.

Our bridle had almost completely chafed during our last passages, so Avi spliced a new one from scratch.

Under way....St Lucia to Bequia: a 9-hour sail

We had great winds and seas on our way to Bequia. Left St Lucia early morning, crossed the channel, passed St Vincent, where unfortunately we did not stop because of rampant crimes against cruisers (boarding with violence at times), and got to Admiralty Bay in Bequia.

It's raining on St Vincent - a magnificent island.
Light meals underway to avoid seasickness

Everybody gets focused looking for a place to anchor...
Well almost everyone!

Once safely anchored,  here is the look of a happy passenger on Agave...

Devyani's arrival in St Lucia !

We picked up Devyani (Avi's sister) from the airport in St Lucia.  She flew all the way from India.  We had rented a car and ended up criss-crossing the island north-south/east-west to get there!  Spectacular scenery.  Then back to Rodney Bay Marina.

On the way back from the airport... on the east coast of St Lucia

Stocking up on fresh fruits and vegetables from this colorful boat stand!
...yes the store comes right by the docks ! Super convenient...
So does laundry by the way...  with a price tag, they pick up the laundry at one's boat, launder, dry, fold and bring back!
We said goodbye to Antares with Daniela & Lorenz and their 3 daughters - They're heading north, we south.
